Pakatan Reminded Not To Belittle Wisdom Of Sultan

Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and DAP chairman Karpal Singh are advised not to be belittle the wisdom of Sultan Azlan Shah of Perak in not dissolving the state’s legislature and appointing a new menteri besar for the state, said UMNO vice president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. “Their action to file legal action against the Sulthan is not a wise step and smells of politics to pursue Pakatan Rakyat’s agenda. It also shows disrespect for the rights of the Rulers as enshrined in the Constitution. “This is very shameful, Rulers must be respected,” he told reporters after attending a briefing on the progress of the Iskandar Malaysia development region, which was also attended by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghan Othman at the Johor government’s new administrative complex in Nusajaya here yesterday.
